The Single Estate Rums from Cane Island are sourced from one single distillery from a few of the most iconic rum countries in the Caribbean: Barbados, The Dominican Republic and Trinidad. Each one of these islands has a long history in rum production with their own styles and traditions. All rums from Cane Island reflect the true rum characteristics and identity of the island.
This Trinidad rum is tropical aged in former Bourbon Barrels and distilled at a column still. The base material is molasses, and it has a warm palate with pleasant notes of ripe banana and oak. There is an enjoyable balance between spicy wood flavours and delicate sweetness, followed by a very gentle finish. Every single drop of this fine Trinidad rum has spent the full 5 years in the barrel at the distillery – no reflling of barrels and no ”Solera” ageing, but a pure and honest 8 year old rum.
